UltraEbre Swim Marathon 2026 confirms 66 international swimmers as excitement builds for race day
The 15th edition of the UltraEbre Swim Marathon is now firmly in sight, with 66 international swimmers confirmed for the 2026 event and preparations entering the final countdown ahead of race day on 4 July 2026.
Taking place along the River Ebro between Tivenys and Amposta in southern Catalonia, UltraEbre is a 30.8 km downstream open-water marathon swim that brings together endurance, teamwork, adventure, and the unique natural beauty of the Terres de l’Ebre region.
This year’s confirmed start list once again reflects the growing international appeal of UltraEbre, with swimmers travelling from across Europe and beyond to take on one of Southern Europe’s most iconic long-distance river swims.
Ready to welcome the UltraEbre family
With one month to go, the UltraEbre team is ready to welcome swimmers, kayakers, supporters, partners, and volunteers to the River Ebro for what promises to be another unforgettable edition.
UltraEbre is more than a race. It is a shared open-water experience built around preparation, community, safety, local hospitality, and the spirit of adventure. In the days before the event, swimmers and support teams will have the opportunity to acclimatise, attend briefings, enjoy the atmosphere of the region, and prepare together for the challenge ahead.
On 4 July 2026, swimmers will take on the legendary downstream route from Tivenys to Amposta, supported by kayakers, safety teams, medical services, volunteers and the wider UltraEbre community.
Sponsors and partners fired up for 2026
UltraEbre is also proud to be supported by a growing family of sponsors and partners who share the event’s passion for endurance sport, outdoor adventure, swimmer experience, and environmental responsibility.
The 2026 partner community includes product partners, media partners, environmental partners, technical providers, local authorities, and local charity support. Together, they help strengthen the event experience and bring additional value to swimmers, kayakers, and supporters before, during and after race day.
From performance swimwear, changing robes, kit bags, and custom-fit goggles, to environmental education, nutrition, accommodation, technical support, and media storytelling, UltraEbre’s sponsors are fired up and ready to help make the 2026 edition one to remember.
